Xtra, a DJI shell company?
It has come to my attention that there’s a “new” action camera company offering products that look quite similar to DJI action cameras. It made me wonder, “Am I seeing double?” Take a look at these product images:




I don’t know for sure if Xtra is a DJI shell company, but their products are practically identical to DJI’s. Reviewers often laugh while pointing out the “similarities”. What I do know is that DJI faced serious issues with Trump-era tariffs and a national security ban, right around the time Jared Kushner invested in competing drone companies. So the idea of DJI using a shell company to move inventory and avoid scrutiny doesn’t seem that far-fetched. What’s certain is that you can get essentially the same product for less money, here is a comparison table with prices at the time of writing:
